On February 9, Anais Sansonetti, an architect from France, visited #11 Vagharshapat School and did a French language exchange workshop.
There were more than 30 children from the school participating in the event. All of them were very enthusiastic to ask Anais questions about French language, culture and everything in between. She not only shared her knowledge with the kids, but also played some educational games with them. It was indeed a very friendly and energetic atmosphere in the classroom.
Anais is the founder of Deghatsi Spiurk Collective - one of our partner and host organizations also. The Collective gathers young Armenian architects, locals and from the diaspora, creating opportunities in our motherland, Armenia. It was very interesting for Anais to see what kind of hidden talents there were among the students of Vagharshapat School. They showed her their paintings, drawings and other works eagerly to know her opinion. Anais was impressed by the interest kids had for arts and crafts. She wishes them to become one day amazing architects, painters or anything they have the talent and passion for.
Referring to her TeachSurfing experience, Anais mentioned: "I am really glad I had the opportunity to participate in this event and meet the children of #11 Vagharshapat School. I'd like to thank Teachsurfing, Mariam and Armine for organizing this. It was a fulfilling experience, and I hope it brighten their day for a few hours!"
Thanks to Anais, Armine from Teach For Armenia and all the participants for making this workshop happen.
